Since 2016, Pressing Vite Propre has not used any harmful petroleum-based solvent — in fact, no solvent at all. We made this choice deliberately, without being forced to, since our equipment was in perfect working order and authorised in France until 2022. This change required a significant financial and human investment. You do not change the habits of a profession just by snapping your fingers.
Looking back, we are happy with this (r)evolution, because we know that our products and our facilities present no risk — not for our staff, not for our customers, not for our environment. Since then, we regularly welcome dry cleaning operators who want to learn more about the technology we use.
One word of warning, however: some establishments claim to be more “ecological” or even “organic” than others, even though they use facilities that require registration with the Préfecture and regular training of the operator and staff.
